Business Development Manager, Water and Wastewater
The Business Development Manager identifies new opportunities, builds client relationships, and leads pursuits through proposal and contract in the municipal and industrial water sectors. The role requires technical knowledge of water and wastewater systems along with commercial and negotiation skills.
Identify, qualify, and capture new projects to build the sales pipeline. Maintain relationships with municipal leaders, utility directors, facility managers, and engineering consultants. Lead the proposal process with estimating, operations, and bid managers. Structure commercial terms and pricing across Design-Build, CMAR, and Design-Bid-Build. Track regulatory changes, funding trends, and competitor activity. Confirm that proposed work aligns with what IECONI can self-perform. Represent the company at industry events and public meetings.
Candidates with technical knowledge of water and wastewater systems and experience in business development or sales in the sector. Familiarity with TCEQ standards, EPA compliance, and public procurement. Strong negotiation, presentation, and CRM skills.
