About the Role

As an Estimator at IECONI, you work on the business development team and take opportunities from initial review through bid. The role covers opportunity assessment, bid and no-bid decisions, quantity takeoffs, pricing, and proposal assembly.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Review bid specifications, drawings, and pre-bid meetings to define scope and line items. Take off quantities for civil, mechanical, and electrical scopes and calculate material from drawing dimensions. Use historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, and productivity reports for unit pricing and man hours. Flag project and contract risk to the lead estimator. Work with clients, vendors, and consultants to resolve unknowns. Recommend vendors and subcontractors against cost and schedule. Run constructability checks, including site visits for access, lifts, scaffolding, cranes, and power lines. Hand off new projects to project management.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Detail-oriented estimators with water and wastewater experience and knowledge of the Texas market. Able to read drawings for scope and risk.

Requirements

Associate's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
10 or more years in construction, estimating, or cost control
Estimating experience on water or wastewater treatment projects (required)
Working knowledge of Timberline or SAGE Estimating
Texas market experience strongly preferred
Strong technical writing and communication
